Our mission from God is to get the Word to the world. We are to make sure that every person has a chance to hear and believe “the glorious gospel of Christ.” No one can be saved without hearing the Gospel because “Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.” Here are three words that will help us get the Gospel to every person:
Publish
The first word is “Publish” The Bible says, “the gospel must first be published among all nations.” Mark 13:10 The Gospel is the death, burial and the resurrection of Christ.
There is hardly a person that has not heard about the birth of Christ especially during Christmas season. Fewer people have heard about His life and ministry how He went about doing good. Very few people have heard about His resurrection and what it means.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem just like the Bible says, He went about doing good just like the Bible says, He was crucified and buried just like the Bible says. But He didn’t stay dead. Have you heard the good news? He didn’t stay dead!
Has your family and friends heard the good news? Have your neighbors heard the good news? Has your city heard the good news? Has the world heard the good news? We need to do a better job at Publishing the Gospel. The largest denomination in the world still has Jesus hanging on the cross. Most of the world has that image of Jesus. They know he died. But we know he didn’t stay dead. The world is waiting to hear what Jesus said, “because I live, ye shall live also.” John 14:19
Power
The second word is “Power.” The Bible says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16
The Gospel has power to transform lives, to knock down the gates of hell, to hunt down hungry hearts, and to bring new life. No wonder the Bible says “it is the power of God.” Gospel tracts are the Marines of Gospel publications. Gospel tracts track hungry hearted people. They never stop working. All they need is someone to hand them over to people. If Gospel tracts could talk, they would say, “Give me away!” “Gospel Tracts Track”
Promise
The third word is “Promise.” Jesus said, “Go ye therefore…and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20
The promise of His presence is without a doubt the most encouraging promise in all the Word of God. When is the last time you had a get together with Jesus? Every time we give out Gospel literature, He is with us He said, “I am with you.” We should be having a get together with Jesus every day. Have a get together with Jesus today, give out a Gospel tract. The world is waiting for you and Jesus to show together for them. On occasions I have said to people I visited in their home for the first time, “Have you ever prayed and asked God to help you with something?” They usually say, “Yes.” They I say, “He sent me to help you and He also came with me.”
